Take control of your farm operations with Farmdeck’s GPS Trackers. The Yabby3 is a high-performance, high-precision GPS asset tracking device. Built for the demands of agricultural vehicles, it gives you clear oversight from everything from a single tractor to an entire fleet. This sensor boosts security, streamlines operations, and provides continuous insight into your machinery. Its GPS features let you see all in real time when a vehicle is moving, pinpoint its current position, and review where it has travelled.
Allows you to:
- Remotely monitor movement, travel distance and speed;
- Identify unusual activity;
- Monitor the temperature of your vehicle;
- Gather evidence for fuel tax credits (FTC).
The Yabby3 is ultra-rugged & waterproof, built to survive outdoor environment, with a wire-free design, multiple installation options are available for securing device to asset or concealing within.
Multi-Board Sensor, equipped with an internal antenna, universal mounting system and 5m Probe that is capable of measuring fluids such as Water, Diesel, Molasses and other corrosive liquids. NOT RATED FOR EXPLOSIVE FLUIDS ie PETROL
How frequently will I receive water level updates and alerts?
You can choose during setup if you want near real-time updates or a selected amount of times per day. You can configure how often the system checks and reports water levels, depending on how closely you want to monitor your tanks: whether that’s regular scheduled updates or more frequent reporting for critical water supplies.
The system can trigger app, SMS and/or email notifications if:
-
Water levels drop below a set threshold
-
Tanks reach a high or overflow level
-
Water levels fall rapidly, indicating a leak, burst pipe, or excessive usage
This means you’re not just checking levels, but you’re proactively managing risk. Instead of discovering an empty tank after livestock run dry or pumps fail, you’ll know early enough to take action and prevent downtime, stock stress, or supply disruptions.
Farmdeck gives you full control over your alert thresholds and reporting preferences, so you can tailor monitoring to suit your property, water usage patterns, and operational priorities.
Where can I use this water level sensor?
This sensor was designed to work with most common farm water storage setups, including header tanks, poly tanks, concrete tanks, steel tanks, trough supply tanks, turkey nests, and many dam monitoring applications. It is suitable for use across livestock, irrigation, and general farm water management systems.
The sensor uses ultrasonic measurement technology, so for accurate readings there must be a clear vertical path from the sensor to the water surface. This means no internal braces, pipes, ladders, or other obstructions directly beneath the mounting point. As long as there is an unobstructed drop to the water level, the sensor will provide reliable and consistent measurements.
If you’re unsure whether your tank or water source is suitable, send us an email and the Farmdeck team can help assess your setup before purchase.
What happens if the battery runs flat?
The unit is solar-powered with a long-life rechargeable battery. If battery levels become low, you’ll receive an alert so you can address it before monitoring is interrupted.
Designed to operate reliably in remote farm environments, under normal conditions the integrated solar charging system keeps the battery topped up with minimal maintenance required.
During extended periods of heavy cloud cover or if the panel is obstructed, you’lll receive a low-battery alert via SMS and/or email. This gives you advance notice to check the unit and ensure charging conditions are optimal before monitoring is affected.
In most cases, simply ensuring the solar panel is clean and positioned correctly will resolve the issue. Farmdeck prioritises reliability in off-grid and remote locations, so you can trust your monitoring to keep working when you need it most.
